About One Digital
The organisations have used Big Lottery funding to test and learn Digital Champion models as a flexible, scalable and effective digital inclusion solution.
During 2016 the Partners collectively recruited, trained and supported more than 1,100 Digital Champions to engage over 11,000 people across the UK with basic digital skills, see the infographic here.
The programme helped a vast cross-sector of society including those with disability and accessibility needs, young adults looking for work, the over 65s, and third sector organisations and their beneficiaries.
Each of the partners delivered individual and specific projects using one common framework to share goals, ideas and resources and developed coherent and consistent ways of measuring impact and evaluating success.
It was a new and innovative approach to the changing digital inclusion landscape where those who aren’t online are becoming harder to engage and need personal and long-term support to participate in today’s digitally-driven society.
